
Faculty of Political Science and International Relations
Although formally established in 1982 with the amalgamation of the Istanbul Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences and an association of related schools of higher education, Marmara University is one of the oldest educational institutions in Turkey, dating back to 1883.
Today, Marmara is a multi-discipline and multilingual University comprising of 16 faculties, 9 school and 11 institutes offering degree programmes across five languages, Turkish, English, French, German and Arabic. Moreover, the University hosts 3000 academic staff and more than 70,000 students, making it one of the largest higher education institutions in the region. The Department of Political Science and International Relations has continually developed over the years offering a wide range of undergraduate, and postgraduate taught and research programmes in Political Science and International Relations.
